Business Description | (1) Researches and studies on enhancing safety and oil pollution countermeasures related to maritime transportation (including cargo handling) (2) Representation of opinions and communication to the Japanese government, The International Oil Pollution Compensation Funds (IOPCF), The Oil Companies International Marine Forum (OCIMF), and others (i) Interpretation and application of the rules and regulations (ii) Assistance of Oil Reporting and contributions remittance (iii) Matters related to compensation for persistent oil pollution (3) Other matters necessary to achieve the objectives of the association |

| 7. Organization and Structure | (1) Annual Meeting / Board of Directors Consists of all directors (2) Executive Committee Consists of the Chairman, Vice Chairman, Managing Director, Director, and Standing Directors. Executive committee of the association (3)General Affairs Committee Consists of a few members appointed by the Chairman Deals with matters related to the organization, personnel, accounting, and other matters related to the management of the secretariat that do not belong to the Operation and Technical Committees. (4) Operation Committee Consists of a few members elected by member companies. Deals mainly with oil pollution compensation issues and other general business related to the association. (5) Technical Committee Consists of a few members elected by member companies. Deals with maritime safety, oil pollution countermeasures, and other technical matters related to maritime issues. |

Membership | (1) Eligibility for membership Members of the association shall be contributors to the International Oil Pollution Compensation Funds, members of the OCIMF(Oil Companies International Marine Forum), tanker companies directly affiliated with these companies, or companies who agree with the purpose of the association.
